Teacher of the Month - William Straub
The teacher of the month for April is William Straub.  Mr. Straub has made an excellent addition to the FLHS staff this year.  He is a conscientious, caring, altruistic teacher who works indefatigably to ensure students have the best experience possible.  For example, Mr. Straub organized our pre-prom drunk driving awareness assembly program with SRO Cuevas and it was truly outstanding.
First Place Winner
Another proud moment for a Fort Lee star! Sophomore Marc-Dimitri Akda won the National Qualification Tournament of the US International Taekwondo Federation Light Division on Saturday, April 20, 2013. As the first place winner he will represent the USA at the 2013 International Taekwondo Federation World Championship Competition this fall in Bedidorm, Spain. He already holds the distinction of being third in the world after last year’s competition in New Zealand, a title that makes him the youngest person to ever hold a title in competition.
